DEPUTY MANAGER | FULL-TIME

We are looking to recruit a full-time Deputy Manager to join our friendly team, supporting our Manager in providing the highest level of residential care for our residents.

As our Deputy Manager, you will be responsible for assisting our Manager in providing a home for our residents which promotes a caring environment through high standards of professional practice.

You’ll also stand-in for the Manager in their absence; deputising to ensure management cover is provided over a 7 day period. In addition to ensuring the personal care needs of residents in they are met a way which promotes dignity, privacy, safety and independence, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing our team, and assisting the Manager in the appraisal, supervision and assignment of staff.

Candidates must either be a first or second level Nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register or hold an SVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care Award or equivalent. An SVQ Level 4 Health and Social Care and Management Award, or a willingness to work towards this on completion of a successful probationary period, would be beneficial. Candidates must have either achieved or are working towards any training requirements stipulated by the SSSC.  A satisfactory DBS check also applies to this position.

This position is for 37.5 hours and the successful candidate must be willing to work evenings and weekends as required, with on-call responsibilities, salary will be discussed in the interview.

CARE ASSISTANTS | FULL/PART-TIME

We are looking to recruit full and part-time Care Assistants to join our team.

Your main responsibility will be to provide personal care for each resident, attending to their needs by recognising and facilitating the personal requirements of each resident. You’ll also be closely involved in the general activities of the home, and responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, staff members, and visitors. Your daily routine will be as varied as the needs of the people you are looking after.

Experience is required for this position, references and a PVG Disclosure must be satisfactory. Applicants must have a genuine interest in working with elderly residents within a caring environment and a willingness to participate in Vocational Training Programmes would be ideal. Applicants should be able to communicate effectively and fluently at all levels and be comfortable working as part of a team.
